It’s Never Too Late to Become a Digital Nomad

Meet this week’s guest:

Norm Bour, Chief Analog Nomad at Travel Younger

My wife and I left the US in 2019 and have been on the road ever since. When I realized that nothing was keeping me in Southern California, and since it was so expensive, I decided I needed to see the world—before it was too late. For six weeks we traveled Spain and Portugal, all the while asking ourselves, “Can we do this?” Since leaving we have visited 27 countries and I wrote two books about Traveling the World Six Weeks at a Time, which is our targeted time per location.

Are you tired of the daily grind of the traditional 9-to-5 office job? Do you dream of traveling the world while working remotely? If so, you may be interested in becoming a digital nomad.

But what if you feel like you’ve missed the boat? What if you think you’re too old or too set in your ways to make a drastic change in your career and lifestyle? The truth is, it’s never too late to become a digital nomad.

Thanks to the internet and advances in technology, remote work has never been more accessible. And with the rise of the digital nomad lifestyle, there are more resources available than ever before to help you transition to a location-independent career.

In fact, many digital nomads are older professionals who have chosen to embrace the freedom and flexibility that comes with remote work. Whether you’re a seasoned professional looking for a change or someone who is just starting out in their career, there are plenty of opportunities to become a digital nomad.

Of course, becoming a digital nomad isn’t without its challenges. You’ll need to have a strong work ethic, be comfortable with uncertainty and change, and be able to manage your time effectively. But with the right mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt, anyone can make the transition to a location-independent lifestyle.

So if you’ve been dreaming of becoming a digital nomad, don’t let age or perceived limitations hold you back. With the right mindset and a commitment to learning and growth, you can make the leap to a location-independent career at any stage of your life.
