Coliving.com is a marketplace for furnished, community-oriented stays rather than a single housing operator. It can reduce search friction for a one-month or longer move, but the property host still controls important terms such as the deposit, cancellation policy, minimum stay and optional charges. This review is based on Coliving.com’s current resident terms, help pages and live listings checked on September 27, 2026. We did not book or stay in a property for this article.

Quick verdict

Coliving.com is most useful when you want a furnished room, utilities and Wi-Fi bundled into a monthly price, plus shared spaces or community programming. Its city pages are easy to compare, and many listings publish workspace, connection-speed and room-type details.

The main limitation is variation. Coliving.com acts as an intermediary, while each host sets the property-specific booking details. A starting monthly price is not a complete move-in total. Before paying, verify the exact room, dates, deposit, cancellation policy, minimum stay, taxes, cleaning, workspace access and any host-collected charges.

What Coliving.com is

Coliving.com connects residents with independently operated coliving homes. Its resident terms say the booking creates an agreement between the resident and the host, with Coliving.com acting as an intermediary. Optional services purchased from a host can create a separate agreement.

The platform says it covers more than 40,000 rooms in over 2,000 homes across 400-plus cities and 70-plus countries. Scale is useful for discovery, but it does not make every listing interchangeable. House rules, community size, work facilities and payment schedules can differ substantially.

What the monthly price may include

Coliving.com’s current “How it works” page says listings use an all-inclusive monthly price covering utilities, Wi-Fi and cleaning. The resident terms add an important qualification: optional services and some consumption charges can be separate when the listing or booking details say so. Some local taxes may also be collected separately.

The practical rule is to read the booking summary rather than relying on a city-page headline. Check whether the price covers:

utilities and whether a usage cap applies;
regular or final cleaning;
Wi-Fi and access to any dedicated workspace;
local taxes;
a security deposit;
application or background-check charges;
a private bathroom, desk or call room; and
optional extras such as airport transfers, parking or coworking access.

Booking and payment workflow

The platform offers instant booking on some homes and request-based booking on others. A request is not the same as a confirmed reservation. Once a host accepts, Coliving.com sends booking details with the address, host contact information, directions, payment terms and extras.

Depending on the host policy and time before move-in, the resident terms say you may pay move-in fees at confirmation or use installments. Cancellation terms vary by booking. Coliving.com’s current help page says the host-selected cancellation policy appears in the listing and booking details. The platform also advertises a 24-hour cancellation window after booking for a full refund, even when the listing uses another cancellation policy.

After that window, the property-specific policy controls the refund. The resident terms say cancellation must be submitted through the booking details page. When a refund is due, Coliving.com says it processes the refund to the original payment method, but banks can take additional business days to post it.

If the host cancels, the terms provide for a full refund or alternative accommodation. If a property is materially different at move-in, residents must use the report-a-problem process promptly and supply evidence. This is a defined claim process, not a blanket satisfaction guarantee.

Workspace and internet checks

Many listings display a workspace, Wi-Fi and a connection-speed figure. Remote workers should still ask more specific questions:

Is the listed speed measured in the bedroom, common room or at the router?
Is there a wired connection?
