Best Luggage Storage Apps: Bounce, Stasher and Radical Storage Compared
Bounce, Stasher and Radical Storage all let travellers book luggage space in partner shops, hotels or lockers. The useful question is not which app has the biggest headline number. It is which nearby location is open for your entire window, shows the full checkout price, accepts your bag type and has terms you can live with if something goes wrong.
This comparison uses current provider pages and terms, not paid placements or a fabricated hands-on test. Prices are snapshots, not quotes for every city. Always repeat the search for your exact address, date, drop-off time, collection time and bag count.
Quick verdict by use case
- Bounce: strongest starting point when you want a broad location search, clear opening hours and free cancellation before drop-off. Read the Bag Protection terms; the benefit is conditional and is not ordinary travel insurance.
- Stasher: useful when you want a low advertised entry price and a clearly described cancellation choice before drop-off. Its guarantee has important exclusions and deadlines.
- Radical Storage: worth checking for dense central-city coverage and simple per-bag listings. Confirm the final price and current guarantee version because some older indexed pages still show different coverage figures.
- Best overall method: search all three, compare the same time window and choose the specific host location—not the app logo—that best balances walking time, opening hours, verified checkout total and risk.

Methodology and disclosure
We checked provider-owned location pages, help pages and legal terms on 14 October 2026. For a reproducible same-city snapshot, we used London listings and compared one ordinary bag for a daytime storage need. Search pages do not expose a universally identical timed checkout basket without selecting a specific partner, so the table reports visible location prices rather than pretending they are final all-in quotes.
Examples around central London showed:
- Bounce listings from £3.50 per day, including Buckingham Palace Road with published hours of 9:00 to 20:00;
- Stasher’s London page from £1.49 per bag per day; and
- Radical Storage’s London page from £1.90, while many central locations were £3.90 and some station facilities were £15.
That spread is exactly why the cheapest city headline is not a decision. A £1.49 listing 40 minutes away may be worse than a £3.90 option next to your station. Fees, taxes, partner type and time window can change the checkout total.
We did not make bookings, leave luggage, inspect storage rooms or submit claims. This is a desk comparison of published information, not a security audit or personal service review.
How to run a fair timed basket comparison
Use the same inputs in every app:
- Pin one precise landmark or street address.
- Choose the same calendar date.
- Use the same drop-off and collection times.
- Enter the same number and type of bags.
- Record walking time and the location’s full opening window.
- Continue to the last screen before payment and record the total, service fee, tax and currency.
- Open the cancellation and protection terms from that booking screen.
- Screenshot the confirmation, host address, hours and claim rules after paying.
Do not compare one provider’s citywide “from” price with another provider’s final station-location total.
Bounce review
Bounce combines shops, hotels, staffed counters and some lockers. The London pages we checked displayed opening hours, walking-time estimates and per-location starting prices. Several ordinary partner locations showed £3.50 per day, while a facility inside London Bridge Station showed a much higher £15 per day.
Where Bounce stands out
- detailed location pages with hours and nearby landmarks;
- free cancellation advertised before drop-off;
- bags of different sizes may be charged the same at some locations; and
- support and protection are attached to a booking made through the platform.
What to check before paying
Bounce’s terms say a service fee is disclosed before payment and that Bag Protection can apply up to the stated cap. The help material also says Bag Protection is not insurance or a guarantee of payment. Exclusions, evidence requirements and eligibility rules matter. A walk-in payment to a partner may leave you without the platform’s booking protection.
Locker users should also read late-collection rules. Bounce’s terms allow a significant fee in some late locker scenarios. If your flight or train could slip past closing time, a staffed 24-hour host or traditional station facility may be the safer operational choice despite a higher price.
Stasher review
Stasher’s London page advertised storage from £1.49 per bag per day and a large local network when checked. It works through partner businesses and some lockers, and the exact rate depends on the location, city and bag details.
Where Stasher stands out
- low visible starting prices in London;
- online booking with partner details and hours; and
- a cancellation choice that is described in its current terms.
Cancellation and guarantee details
For a cancellation before drop-off, the current terms offer either a 50% refund or a coupon for 100% of the booking value for future use. After drop-off, a refund is not guaranteed. Decide whether cash back or a future-use credit is more useful before confirming.
The Stasher Guarantee is conditional and capped. Its terms highlight exclusions around valuables, electronics and travel documents, and impose reporting deadlines for loss or damage. Direct walk-in bookings paid to a host are not covered by the platform guarantee. Keep passports, medication, keys and irreplaceable electronics with you.
Radical Storage review
Radical Storage lists partner businesses and staffed storage locations in many cities. Its London page advertised a citywide starting price from £1.90, while central examples around Charing Cross, Paddington and the City commonly showed £3.90 per bag per day. Some inside-station facilities showed £15.
Where Radical Storage stands out
- dense listings in major visitor districts;
- straightforward per-bag/day presentation on many location pages;
- multiple 24-hour options in some neighbourhoods; and
- current London pages advertising a £10,000 security guarantee, subject to terms.
What needs extra care
Indexed Radical Storage pages have displayed different guarantee figures over time. That does not prove the current checkout is wrong; it means you should not copy a number from an old review. Save the terms linked from your actual booking. Confirm the cancellation deadline, eligible contents, evidence requirements and which entity handles a claim.
Protection is not a substitute for travel insurance
All three providers use conditional protection or guarantee language. A headline cap is not the amount automatically paid after any incident. Common risk areas include:
- cash, passports and travel documents;
- jewellery and other valuables;
- phones, laptops and fragile electronics;
- pre-existing damage or inadequate packaging;
- unverified bag contents;
- missed reporting or evidence deadlines; and
- bookings paid directly to a host rather than through the platform.
Photograph the bag and contents before handover, keep the digital receipt, retain the claim tag and report a problem immediately. Check your travel-insurance policy separately.
Opening hours can matter more than price
Partner businesses may close early, open late or have split hours. Check both the app’s booking window and the host’s published business hours. Leave a buffer before the last train, flight check-in or cruise departure. A provider cannot make a closed shop open because your itinerary changed.
For an overnight need, filter for a genuine 24-hour location and verify collection access. “Open late” is not the same as 24/7.
When to use an alternative
Use a station’s official left-luggage facility when you value a staffed transport-hub location more than price. Hotel guests should ask whether their hotel will hold bags before check-in or after check-out. For storage lasting days or weeks, a self-storage or luggage-shipping service may fit better than a daily bag app.
If you are planning a stopover, compare the app listings with our destination guides, including London, so walking time and public transport are part of the decision.
Frequently asked questions
Which luggage storage app is cheapest?
There is no universal winner. In the London snapshot, Stasher had the lowest citywide headline, but specific Radical Storage and Bounce locations could be closer, open longer or show a better final basket for your itinerary.
Are Bounce, Stasher and Radical Storage insured?
Each publishes some form of conditional protection or guarantee. Do not treat it as automatic insurance. Read the current terms and exclusions for the exact booking.
Can I store a laptop or passport?
Carrying passports, medication, keys and high-value electronics with you is safer. Provider guarantees may exclude or limit these items.
What happens if I collect late?
Consequences depend on the host and booking type. You might find the premises closed, owe another day, or face a locker late fee. Check before booking and leave time buffer.
Should I book in the app or walk in?
Book through the platform if you want its confirmation, support and any eligible protection. Direct payment to a partner may not receive the same terms.
Bottom line
The best luggage storage app is the one with a suitable, open location and a fully checked final basket. Bounce is a strong broad search, Stasher offers appealing starting prices and a defined cancellation choice, and Radical Storage often has dense central coverage. Compare exact locations, protect valuables yourself and save the terms that applied when you booked.
