Genki currently offers two types of insurance plans
World Explorer
World Explorer provides extensive coverage for medical treatment for travelers around the world. It offers maximum flexibility for frequent travelers like digital nomads and backpackers, with a monthly insurance subscription ranging from one month to two years. This insurance covers any citizen, any residence, up to the age of 49 (50+ later this year).
World Explorer covers medical treatment anywhere in the world. This includes treatment at any locally recognized healthcare provider worldwide, including visits with overnight stays (“inpatient”) and without (“outpatient”). The insurance also covers limited dental and mental treatment, with initial outpatient treatment of mental illnesses up to €1,500 per year and emergency inpatient treatment of first-time mental and emotional disorders up to €20,000 per year.
World Explorer also covers sports injuries, including surfing, kitesurfing, skiing, snowboarding, and more, unless they’re listed under dangerous activities. The insurance provides assistance and direct billing with a 24/7 hotline for emergencies and hospital stays. Assistance follows up on your treatment and ensures high-quality care, and guarantees and organizes payments directly to your hospital.
World Resident
World Resident plan offers extensive medical coverage for individuals, couples, and families, regardless of citizenship, residence, or age. The plan provides lifetime coverage with a one-year minimum and monthly payments. World Resident offers medical treatment anywhere, including visits with overnight stays (“inpatient”) and without (“outpatient”), as well as preventive care and vaccinations.
The plan covers all sports, as long as they are not done professionaly or for money. World Resident also includes telemedicine, where users can consult a qualified doctor in a video call, and an app for finding doctors online and paying them directly. The plan provides assistance and direct billing, a 24/7 hotline for emergencies and hospital stays, and check-ups and vaccinations, among other things.
The plan also covers dental treatment, professional teeth cleaning, visual aids, eyesight correction, initial psychological primary care, psychotherapy, pregnancy, alternative treatments, physiotherapy, pre-existing conditions, single room and chief physician accommodation, rehabilitation, medication and materials, medical transport, and repatriation. Users can choose a deductible of €500 or €1,000 per calendar year to reduce the insurance premium.
